The fate of Flat Holm has been decided! Great news.

For some time, Cardiff City Council have been looking to get the costs of running Flat Holm Island off their books, by finding a new organisation to take on the running of it. There were worries it might be sold into private hands. The good news is that the RSPB have agreed to lease the Island for 30 years, with the co-operation of the National Trust and the Flat Holm Society. Full details can be seen on the BBC web site here.
