John-I think you may have to adjust the template now that we've all sussed how to post "extra large" images !!

Hi Jeff - is that a definite request or does the exclamation marks indicate tongue-in-cheek :-)
When I post I usually re-size images in Photoshop to 640x480 then when importing into a post I choose Large. I see Richards image was uploaded as 1600x1203 which blogger has automatically re-sized to 841x632. Hence by selecting extra large for that it does encroach on the side bar. With 640x480 I don't think extra large would. However whatever size you choose you'll still get the full uploaded pixel dimensions by clicking on the image itself.

OK, I experimented with Richards pic. As you can see I have now selected Large, so this demonstrates that the jump from Large to Extra Large is a big one. So I think the answer is to select Large as the max and people can view it bigger by clicking in the image itself when they will get the actual size of the uploaded image. Blogger does automatically re-size very big images [i.e. big in terms of pixel dimensions].

Hi John-if you have a look at SWB/CBC you'll see what I mean.

Aaaah OK I geddit now. They have their whole template set up wider than wot I have done. I'll have to go into the design mode to see how that's done.

Ok there you go! Have made the whole blog as wide as poss without getting a horizontal scroll bar, which is present on the SWB/CBC. If you fo too wide you lose the Sign In/Sign Out at top right, which it seems impossible to place anywhere else. I have re-sized Rich's Willow Tit to xtra large now and it fits as you can see.
