Lavernock

Pretty quiet this morning - see my Cossie blog. Most interesting was an old twin prop US Army marked aircraft which flew over from the W [presumably Rhoose or St Athan]. Wasn't quick enough to get camera out, lens cap off and unlock zoom :-( It was a handsome craft. About 1/2 way in size betw Hurricane & Lancaster. US Army written under the L wing, stars on the wing ends. Tail comprised a wing with two small vertical tail fins at the distal ends & no central tail fin. No armaments visible. Any aeronuatical cognoscenti out there got any ideas?
